Anya doesn't know how her own name is written. She lied when giving her age in chapter 1, she gave the age Loid needed despite being clearly younger. So assuming someone bothered teaching her anything while experimenting on her she wasn't old enough to be taught how to write. And the orphanage probably didn't care at all.

Then how are her examinations graded? Her name should be on it, whether she does it or the teacher does. I feel it's a little weird when she's been in school. The time between having Yuri become her mom and applying for school would be very short.

And a majority of children have their name written on their things to differentiate them from the rest of their classmates. She has to have seen her name on a regular basis.
