I thought he was gunna do that honestly when Lloyd was blaming him for taking away his life. But also I can sympathize with his view on Lloyds actual parents, he has probably had similar thoughts that he stole Lloyd's life, family, wealth, even if he put in the effort. None of it was originally his to begin with. So he probably feels guilty. My next guess is he is going to take Lloyd to the overworld and explain everything to the parents
Update, just read the novel spoilers. For this scene, in the novel MC does tell OG Lloyd that he was originally supposed to die that night from overdrinking. Idk if he ever mentioned his family's fate. But MC and OG Lloyd then made a truce after that, and having a more... civil discussion. Seems like the manhwa is taking a different route
