Eclis did turn this way because of Penelope. In the original game he was normal but here he becomes a "yandere" because of how Penelope treats him. She never saw him as a person just as a Escape route. Also don't forget that he is still a Slave. No one treats him like a human here and he has no one to learn on as his entire village is gone. Penelope knows this and took advantage of this situation to win him over.
I DON'T BLAME PENELOPE. She did what she had to but don't characterize Eclis this psycho as if he was always this way. HE WAS NOT. He deserves better

Bruh, everyone was different in the original.. When I reread the beginning scenes, it was laughable how easily Penelope dies (in hard mode).. Like getting stabbed by a fork.. Can you imagine? Lol..

I think you missed the point. What I said was Eclis was never the "yandere" type the situation Penelope created made him this way.

Well, true.. It's because how he is + how she is.. People react differently to different people..

Nah, he always had it in him. We don't know which routes Penelope has in the game, since she never managed to complete the hard mode. It could be that this is simply his route in the game, becoming a yandere and Penelope saying yes to run away with him.

I'm sorry if I'm wrong, but all of the targets' character and affection were different in normal mode. It's like it was light mode of the game, everything black and white and rose tinted but as for hard mode it's like the dark mode. Everyone ready to kill her at the slightest thing(at the start). Again I'm sorry if I'm wrong, but I think Eclipse didn't turn out this way just 'cause of Penelope. I think he would have hurt her no matter what she choose, either physically or emotionally.

You're absolutely right, I think OG commenter simply forgot or something.
