I agree, but I think I'm fine with romance if it's subtly there and isn't the main focus. I'd rather cooking mangas mainly focus on the good food the mcs can create because majority of the time, that's the main reason why we are reading it

I don't trust the author to not use romance as a tool for conflict and drama later on (when they run out of food ideas), which means we'll have to forego the usual episode of delicious food and wholesomeness simply because both characters couldn't keep it in their pants. (=・ω・=)
We need more non-romance, cooking isekai series tbh.
