As someone who was guilty tried by one parent because she was a narcissist and the other because they (dad and stepmom) knew it was super effective on me, and am now a 40yo woman with her one family and children: don't worry, it gets better
Guilt tripped*
The mom didn't even hear him out or let him speak before getting all crazed, and the guilt trip excuse... as a person who gets guilt tripped by my own family, daily, god i fucking hate that.
