If anything, it's been the calm before the storm. Killian's being nice to our FL and starting to look at her more than just the rumored villainess. And Lize's focusing on Yellow eyes more than Killian. Mind you it's only chapter 43 and I have no idea how long the Novel is so that's a bad sign. I say wait a little longer if you don't want to suffer with the rest of us in the upcoming pain, like ch.50, then check in again to see where we're at.
