I couldn't recall word for word. But the difference with the manhwa and the novel is that the novel conveys more emotion and thought compared to the drawn characters in the manhwa. In the manhwa the MC may look like a cocky little shit so you don't really understand him a lot, but in the novel you can read his inner thoughts and why he does things. So this scene in the novel is really heartbreaking as you can imagine. Im sorry i couldn't tell you more
In the novel as well you can read the desperation thecml felt as he sped up to where the mc is until he crashed

I've checked for you. It seems novelupdates changed how they do stuff. Previously when you click the link you"d be redirected. I also checked the translator group. It seems they've moved to a new site and have not made the novel available. I'm not exactly sure why. It was free when I last read it. Maybe you can ask them, message or discord?
