Was it running away to America? Not exactly but MC did manage to return after he got fatally stabbed by one of ML's rabid fans and ML decided to send him away back with his family to recuperate. This stabbing incident if i remember right was also the igniting act that made ML realized he effed up big time. Afterwards he actually exerted an effort to see the MC eye to eye despite having the difficulty and understanding to do so (he was clinically diagnosed sociopath from young age)
MCs sickness didnt come back again but he has multiple encounters with the ML's bully co-star dude that triggered its symptoms for the MC.
Overall ML was an asshole but my god it was super satisfying (albeit pitiful) to witness him groveling for the MC in the end.

IF ,JUST AN IF ,ML start to get gentle with MC, I means REAL gentle instead of slapping MC, intimidate MC then become fake gentle again, what is the breaking point for him to get REAL REAL gentle with MC?
