I just spent the past 10 minutes hyperventilating. There is absolutely no way. Police or not there are rules and regulations for letting anyone come pick up a student from school. Not only do they have to be in the system but also need to be recognized by facility and staff. You let a “police” officer with a dismal excuse come take a child out of school. This school needs to be sued immediately.

I’ve never been to a school that requires any of that, most schools in my country, anyone can come pick up anyone and there is no system that they need to be in.

Some schools doesn't have that kind of tight regulations. One of my school in the past was like, anyone can pick up children at school, no matter who they were.

But then again, I live in a neighborhood where there's like no crimes happened (the only bad thing has happened were chicken stealing), so usually it's always the parents who came to school

Exactly like what kind of school doesn’t ask for identification and look at the people in the system to pick up a child from school?! And if they informed the school that they stopped the police from picking the kids up why doesn’t the school listen??

Okay but the setting of the school in the story is not only in America but in California if im not mistaken. It is a requirement of the American school system to check identification for anyone entering the schools. I admit I’m kind of ignorant when it comes to school systems and laws outside of America but I’m well informed with the rules and regulations of America even if they are not always followed.
