The people complaining about this long-running MONTHLY manga still being on-going are so silly. And for a shoujo with a romance SUB-plot the pace is fine

Personally I'm way more upset how much worse the translation has become. The newer chapters are barely comprehensible

Then translate it yourself. It's volunteers doing their best because the scanlation groups have dropped it. There have been several people on Reddit doing what they can. I follow the Reddit sub for Skip Beat and these are just individual people doing all the work of a team as one person. I've seen three different people trying to provide translations over the past few months. We went long periods of time with no translations at all when no one wanted to deal with it.

"Trying hard" doesn't absolve you of criticism.
I don't try to translate it myself because I barely know Japanese and I wouldn't be happy putting out half-assed shoddy work.
Weirdly enough, I would do a better job than whoever translated the last 2 chapters, because there's untranslated hiragana/furigana that I can read. Do you think someone who can't translate "sugoi" should be translating Japanese?
But I don't find satisfaction in doing translation work and, especially if there's someone quicker and shittier who'll upload before me and you gobble that garbage up. Itadakimasu

If you aren't contributing, trying to contribute, or helping to find someone then yeah fanwork is above criticism at that point. Just like you don't go on Ao3 to someone's fanfic and leave nasty comments. No one is being paid to translate these chapters. It's done because people want to be nice. If you don't like it then either do it yourself or move tf on. I'm part of a scanlation group. We put out reasonably high quality work and are very strict about which translators we take on. I still can thank and appreciate the work of a random fan who at least tried to give us a chapter even if it's not up to your standards. There is always the option of BUYING the manga if you want better quality. You come across as entitled and spoiled. If you aren't going to fix the problem then you have no business criticizing.

Good for you. This is not ao3. What a weird comparison to make. I need you to think about that critically a bit.
Anyway there's some nuance to this and it's not right to make personal attacks and be really nasty and that, but fan translations being above criticism is a trash take.
