I wouldn't call isagi a prodigy because he's not too talented, but he's also not a loser. Isagi started off pretty average but had huge potential IQ wise. This manga is about high school footballers being trained to help Japan win the world cup.
blue lock is a experiment of making a pro football player to carry japan's World Cup. however most people here are inheritley selfish though. and isagi isn't a prodigy, he finds ways to work around the situation because his physical stats suck. (still does) but he will continue surprising you n its entertaining.
isagi is a prodigy as stated in the side story of when he was playing with his original team its the fact that his team lowered his ego and most likely made him not develop into the player he is now could be wrong though
Neither all in all he's normal, but this series is one where the MC is verry "overpowered" at some point, so that he wins against people who're supposed to be better than, him for no good reason.
I mean they all startend at different levels, the MCs level was pretty low and at BL they all did special training, but out of nowhere the MC wins again and again, so it looks as if he's the only one who's getting special training.
This is what makes the story a little boring for me, especially because the MC is by far not the most interesting character of the story
Someone explain whats this about and if the mc is a loser or a prodigy
