I thought about that too, why no one contact the family of uke....and the uke is crying a lot and the next day he was fine and happy as if nothing yesterday...there are so many plot holes....

Actually The Boyfriend didn't even know mc was still alive wasn't it? He was never contacted. He just knew MC was missing in action. So he spent quite a long time mourning and torturing himself. I mean after 5 years of no news anyonr would think you are dead. In a drunken stupor he got taken advantage of. Believing he SAed someone, he decided to take responsibility for his actions.
I know that, but just as i said author could've just focus more on mc's pain instead on ex's because he is literally the mc and he suffered more on ex.
How did he suffer more on ex? They both suffered equally. For MV he is doing it now since he was unconscious but for ex bf he has been suffering for 5 years. It is a rather realistic portrayal of a relationship and I'm glad the author didn't paint the ex bf as a bad guy because he isn't. He just did what anyone in his situation would do.
It was also good to show because MC needed to realize this and learn and grow from it.
Do you really think being unconcious mean your safe from being in pain?? And i just stated that the author could've just focus more on mc's pain instead of letting the ex's bf step on him(i cant find a better words) during the series and he literally suffered more; physically and mentally unlike the ex that only suffered mentally and had mc's sister and his current bf at that time but the mc?? None right? Only him. Ex had a someone comforting him while mc is just lying in bed and no one can even comfort him cause he is unconcious.
You don't seem to understand that pain can not be measured. So what if ex had people around him. That does not invalidate his pain and suffering. It's like saying someone shouldn't be depressed because they have friends.
Mc suffered but that was a direct result of his own decision. Mc wanted to be a photographer on the front lines. It comes with risks such as his own life. Mc chose that lifestyle. Why was no one by MC's side? Because NO ONE KNEW WHERE HE WAS. And why don't they know? Because he ran off to chase his dreams despite every single one of his family member asking him to stay instead of putting himself in harms way. The first time MC did this he was naive and believed everyone amd everything would wait for him. Realistically that is not possible.
Him having gome through this pain and understanding what his family members as well as ex bf went through is that much more impactful on the story because it makes mc learn and grow. It makes him ponder if he was correct or not. And so when he still chooses his dreams, at least at the end he knows what risks it carries. He's no longer the same child at the end of the journey.
Umm thats the point? Mc having no one to comfort him while the ex has? That is more painful having no one to rely on and whether you will wake up or not is more painful rather than patiently waiting for your lover to come back home and had a family with you waiting for ur lover rather than unconciously, came back and found that your supposedly lover has a new lover, ur sister taking sides with your ex, having a hard time adjusting, and suffering physically.
While the ex?? None? Its only a year or two he suffered after mc left and the mc not only suffered for 5 years but after that 5 years he suffered more because he got replaced by his lover. Who doesnt know how to wait.
I just don't know why the author focused on the ex being the only one that got "hurt" even though the mc is on foreign land lying in the bed not knowing if he's going to wake up or not, and he's so full of himself using the excuse that he got "hurt" and "suffered". Good thing the mc got over him and heavy on the sister for not realizing that the mc suffered too ughh and if he really loves the mc he would've waited, 5 years is not that long if you're patiently waiting and hoping, and there he goes he chose the months of comforting of someone and didn't even think of the mc?? like if you really love him you would think the memories you spend with them ughhh
