If only! He didn't evolve at all. He only backed down from his brother's life cause he was forced to. He's still doing the same shit ass job to get money and he's still stalking his brother. He's also squatting at the dark-haired guy and secretly taking advantage of his attraction towards him. He needs some serious reality check and I truly hope his character will finally develop from there
Idk how long you've been reading this, but I started binging it today, and I see a big difference between 1st chapter vs last chapters Jiwoo. He was a shithead, but I see improvement, the author said it on the notes that he's left bad habits behind.
But he's a work in progress, it's still the middle of the way for him, and for his seme. It's not only HIS story, the seme probably has his own issues to improve.
I guess that's why people find them more interesting now, because they have a story to tell. The main couple has their own tale, but it happened fairly easy for them, they're dating and they're happy (and yeah, I know shit is about to hit the fan when the couple is too happy too soon, but it hasn't happened yet, and I know it's gonna happen bc they have a lot of things to tackle yet), so their plot feels more like the happy ending on the side story for now. Jiwoo's, however, is tackling his issues.
As for his job, it's a job. And I highly suspect he's gonna get an acting role.

I should probably go back and read this BL from the start cause it's been a while indeed. I actually have a problem with both Jiwoo and the main seme who I think has creepy domination kink while in bed with the uke. I feel a bit disconnected with the author. It's hard for me to figure out their intentions with these characters. They somehow both hurt the uke on a different level. Maybe I am just over thinking their behavior and the whole plot but it really bothers me. The gorgeous art and the uke's beautiful character are what makes me stick around
I have a few peeves with this story, but it's more about yaoi cliches. I have my peeves with Dojun as well.
Jinwoo and Dojun's relationship is as much Dojun's fault as it is Jinwoo's and he recognizes it. Things just changed after Dojun got a grip and gave Jinwoo the reality check he needed by drawing the line. Idk if the author did this on purpose, but things that were mentioned Jinwoo didn't care about in the first chapters, he's shown to be thinking about now (getting his own place, paying his gambling debt, hospital bills).
I read a bit ahead on raws and I firmly believe Jinwoo's character is really interesting. There is something about what happened between Jinwoo and Minwoo, and his actions in the next 10 chapters, that makes me believe we've just scratched the surface on the complexity of his character.

Meanwhile - and this is a spoiler, skip if you don't want it - Dojun's relationship with Taeseok is just as smooth-sailing. The thing that could have caused conflict, which is the white-haired bitch, will be dealt with by Jinwoo, and Dojun and Taeseok will eaisly solve their side by talking. This is more suited to a slice of life genre tbh.
Thank you for sharing your perspective on this story as well as the spoilers. It really helps me better figure out these complexe characters. I went back and read the story from the start last night and as you mentioned, we can clearly notice a character development with Jinwoo. I hope we'll get to see him visiting his mother and taking care of her before the end of the story. I've also realized he has a some kind of protective obsession with his brother. He acts roughly and stupidly but he means no harm at the end of the day. He thinks he's just protecting his brother because he cannot deal with negative situations (for instance his college crush who kept taking advantage of him and he didn't even realize it).
I love a nice discussion about mangas I don't know if we're gonna see him taking care of his mom, authors often forget about minor characters like her. Maybe it'll be mentioned.
I see that some things I don't think makes sense for Dojun, makes sense for Jinwoo. Like the top-bottom thing. I don't think it makes sense for Dojun to never have bottomed to Jinwoo, but it makes sense for Jinwoo to never have topped Dojun, and how it may reflect on his relationship with Gitae. There's been some parallels between Gitae and Dojun.
That's why I'm starting to believe their stories complete each other.
About Jinwoo's protectiveness, I think it's his nature. I see him a bit like Minato from Therapy Game, a tsundere type.

The side couple is cute but let's not forget the blond guy is kinda crazy and made his brother's life a living hell. He's a psycho who doesn't even care about his own mother who is suffering at the hospital. Some will say he's just immature but he literally has 0 excuse for his selfish behavior. It's not like he was abused or mistreated during his childhood. I personally cannot stand him and I pity that poor dark hair guy who is clearly falling for him
