I think our mc should make an agreement. Get the cows to do labor (field labor) and security in exchange for some food. That way he can expand his fields much quicker outside of the cave.
That's what I also was thinking he should do...also...poor skeletons . They looked like they were just minding their own business. He should also hire them to build more buildings and storage
