incase its actually just half and not the whole thing-- basically i wrote a very long post about how im kinda tired of possibly new love triangle people coming in (even tho previously it's been handled very well) and im kinda tired because its very repetitive to see some random side character coming in and falling for the leads,,, yeah i could be totally wrong because what i saw was just 1 panel but we're over 100 chapters in and if we still have more love triangles coming in then .. i just want to see more just akane and yamada content because it feels like its been so long,, that being said i will still continue reading the future updates because i love the mcs but im just tired of love triangles after love triangles

I just saw some youtube videos that cheating in Japan is very common… I’ll go with the author just milking the show but I just thought I should mention the latter… Haha

Nah I kind of get what you mean. I get that in this recent chapter it's Akane's friend but sometimes the trope gets annoying;

ML= instantly loved and fawned over by all (talented, capable, handsome, little to no flaws)
FL= labelled as just nice and is often met with resistance and then accepted (see her emotions, flaws, and vulnerability more often than the ML)

With dynamics like this sometimes it feels like the FL is playing defense all the time or she likes the guy more than she likes him as well.

O THIS this whole thing of happy kind girl who has to constantly prove herself (??) while her bf is this handsome guy everyone has a crush on and bro could literally breathe and everyone would clap for him kinda trope is so annoying like can we not have a balanced couple... I DO AGREE THAT I OVERREACTED WITH THIS CHAPTER W THE FRIEND AND ALL (BUT I SWEAR I DIDN'T REMEMBER THAT BEING AKANE'S FRIEND) BUT THE RECENT ONE ??? Yeahhhhh I'm hoping it's not another love rival because at this point it's too much. You can create drama and problems that aren't constantly getting hit on. Also, IDK if it's just me but it feels like the 2nd MLs are usually more respectful and back down quicker vs the 2nd FLs who constantly cross lines/boundaries under the guise that Yamada doesn't notice boundaries. The discrepancy in everything kind of annoys me.

you're so right about having drama and problems that is not being hit on thing like there are other things that cause problems in relationships too.... but we just keep getting 2nd leads everytime. I noticed the same thing But it's fascinating the inconsistencies between characters like, how Akane establishes firm boundaries with every guy in her life, making it clear that there's no possibility of romantic involvement, even with her childhood friend (like no one thought he would win). However, the story heavily emphasizes Yamada's struggle with understanding boundaries, which allows the other girls to take advantage of him (with the author constantly hinting that he could get stolen). But by the 4th girl, he's running out of excuses for his behaviour, idk how the author is going to argue this one.

Now here's my overthinking analysis, Akane's life seems to revolve entirely around Yamada. Every aspect of her life somehow connects back to him, leaving little room for her individuality. Even when she returns home, everyone's focus quickly shifts to Yamada, which feels more like a jealousy arc than genuine character/background development (I felt like we learned nothing more about her character despite looking at a whole chapter of her life).

I feel like Akane's lack of personal pursuits or goals beyond her involvement with Yamada is frustrating. Is she not attending school? Does she have any career aspirations? Even her shopping trips are tied back to gaming . It's as if her entire existence revolves around accommodating Yamada's interests.

Furthermore, what has Yamada done for Akane that doesn't directly align with his own interests? Has he ever participated in activities solely because Akane enjoys them? It seems like every gesture he makes for her is still somehow related to gaming, even when he explores different types of games for her. While it's commendable that he tries to accommodate her preferences (like when he looked up other games she might have an interest in), their relationship should also involve activities that solely cater to Akane's interests, without any ties to his own.

Overall, the story needs to address Akane's lack of individuality/co-dependency (girl I get wanting to take part in your partner's interests, but how did every aspect of your life become his? There has yet to be a chapter of her, just being herself) and Yamada's tendency to prioritize his own interests over hers (though I think he does it unconsciously, he still does it) for their relationship to evolve into a more balanced and fulfilling dynamic. Honestly, I probably wouldn't have had a problem, if they had both had an interest in gaming in the beginning or if she had a more solid foundation within life. But this romance has felt extremely one-sided to me for a majority of the story (there are moments where yamada steps up but then the dynamic immediately goes back to how it was before)

I AGREE WITH EVERYTHING YOU SAY like sometimes it just feels like akane is there to make yamada seem more human because hes like this perfect person and akane is just a normal girl and they love each other tbh,, it just feels like "look at this perfect man.... all he needs in his life is a kind sweet girl who will turn her personality into loving this guy and nothing else" WHICH IS JUST SO i know he likes her but there's really no effort put into showing how much he likes her... other than the kissing and seggie time panels and some bits in the manga (BUT LIKE AS U SAID, IT HAPPENS AND THEN THEY GO BACK TO THIS ONE SIDED THING) and it really makes me think if i were akane i would feel so insecure about myself... basically i find it really weird that we've never really seen yamada express his feelings for akane and (off topic) i also feel that he is like 100% neurodivergent but that also doesn't make it an excuse to not mention that we've never seen him actually word his feelings for her.... like there's been a whole lot of moments where yamada has made me go all BUT ALSO man idk,,, i know he has his own way for caring for akane but this wordless thing that lasts a few chapters and then everything goes back to as it was, akane doing everything while yamada is pro gamer and hot college boy +++ you're also so SO right about the things ab akane's interests and likes apart from yamada thing because i swear all they've done is show us how akane is a hot gamer boy's gf and kinda just mothers him by feeding him and all that,,, its like shes a trad wife in progress (that was weird to type also) it just feels like she has no personality,,, just a hollow character that exists to enhance another character (if that makes any sense),,, its almost like yamada is the main character and we're watching a story about just him and not both of them. i just wish there were more normal couple problems between them and not just jealousy and 2nd leads. i love when shoujosei stuff shows us how the leads are all about each other but also like... its not like the whole thing is just about that they show their differences, their likes and dislikes, conflicts and all that too... which just doesn't appear here. it really feels like the mangaka is trying to make it a "perfect" manga but that perfect stuff makes it look so... not balanced and tbh, kinda unhealthy. i do hope the mangaka does change stuff and it makes go all :o .. i was so wrong but atleast right now im really not satisfied with where everything is at... we're like 100 chapters in and haven't actually seen something (also just off topic but i love the way you said everything it feels so organised and well explained you're so cool pls)

I agree with everything you say. (I love your rants too btw; they are so fun to read ε=ε=(ノ≧∇≦)ノ ) It feels great that there's someone else reading this story that is picking up on these things too because other times I've mentioned these issues and got attacked and told I was making things up.

I agree that the author is hinting at Yamada being neurodivergent, but then that confuses/upsets me more because I find people use it as an excuse for negligent behaviour (ie. like not understanding boundaries) when in reality most neurodivergent people do SO many things to make others feel comfortable when they are made aware of a situation. (there's no way someone who is neurodivergent would continue to let others cross boundaries if they knew it made someone close to them uncomfortable, that falls under selfishness not being neurodivergent). Also then why can't we have all the cute stuff of neurodivergence like pebbling/gift giving, acts of service, words of affirmation/info dumping, etc (we've got a little of parallel play/body doubling (spending time together but it would have more of an impact if it was him seeking her out not the other way around )).
