I think Yeonjae is focused on "being normal" and loving a guy is not "normal" according to societal standards. So he has completely blocked the thought from his mind. Yeonjae also seems to have a hard tike understanding human emotions as seen from his childhood. He only learned to be "normal" after he met the uke.
am i supposed to believe that it has never once occurred to yeonjae that he could be in love? not once?
