Like once Jaekyung damages his shoulder in a possible irreversible way, he might just snap at himself and hit the lowest point in his career since he always wants to act like he needs no one even though that’s not true.

Taking into account what you said, when he reaches that low point I feel like he might become unbearable since he's never been the "I'm going to talk about my feelings rationally" type. So when he hits this lowest point he might take it out on the closest person to him because Dan will probably try help ease the conflict and get hurt in the process.
If that happens I hope Dan realizes that he's there to fix physical injures and not have to pick up the injuries of his own heart.
