part of the responsibilities of being an athlete is taking care of your health and making sure no permanent damage is done to your body so that you could still keep going. since he's so obsessed about wanting to box, he should understand that best. it's either rest for a while OR never box again. does jk think resting for his shoulder is useless and "curing" it is impossible? i wonder what's up.

I think the author wants to portray the arrogant nature of jk through it, like he can do everything without anyones help or he knows more than anyone else kind of thing, just a guess...

im thinking he knows his shoulders is way beyond saving point so he just wants to win everything he could before falling. just anything to explain why he would risk his whole career.

he could be arrogant without being irresponsible about his passion tho. it's weird cause he's obsessed about winning/boxing so he should know best to prioritize his health over anything.

he can't be knowing that unless he'd done a thorough check up but if he'd done a check up that concluded that, he wouldn't be allowed to take on a match... though, that is if it was real life. maybe we busy thinking hard and this whole thing is gonna stay unapologetically silly (⌒▽⌒)

I don't wanna underestimate Mingwa but I'm pretty sure it's just bad character writing atp. Like if you think about it for more than two seconds, it doesn't make any sense for JK to be so fucking stubborn about his body!!!! so I think the author is ignoring her own characters and she's just using some of their character traits to put them in situations. Dan is also guilty, we all know he's very sensitive and passive but as a physical therapist it's his job to make sure his patient doesn't get injured, but he gets all shy and gloomy instead. I feel like at this point the "plot" doesn't even revolve around an athlete and his physical therapist bc they certainly don't act like they're supposed to.
