I mean, to be broad, a lizards gender can be forced one way or the other with the temperature of its incubation, but after hatching no not really. of course there are species that are entirely female that basically make clones of themselves, or that one more recent discovery of a skink species where it technicallyyyyy did a switch-o-Roo after birth but no it’s usually something determined while still in the egg for lizards

Can someone explain to me how lizard physiology works? Like can a lizard transition from male to female similar to some fish or are they similar to mammals like their gender is fixed the moment they're born like that lizard hatched as female or male.
