That is a possibility but I think before Hyo-un was able to feed the orb to Taehyuk, Taehyuk was killed by his so called brother that he ran away from

but maybe since not feeding him the orb=health issues Taehyuk got killed before he could because I think the deer told him he wouldn’t have his powers to protect him while he tries to make the orb but idk I love the backstory but I really can’t wait until we return to the modern era for our happy ending
What if because of hyo un who doesn't know how human relationship works and him being greedy end up making taehyuk take the orb thing and that's the reason why he died? .. nvm, I'm bad at making theory (≧∀≦)
