Yeah, i thought in the main storyline the main couple already got engaged, so i must be losing my mind
It was way too soon to propose and I understood it as an expression of commitment and intent towards the relationship. In korea it's very popular to get couple rings, which have a different cultural, social, and romantic context to the West's tradition of engagement rings.
