As a south east asian, at this point I'm tired of people saying this height gap is like an adult x child and that's really uncomfortable for us to hear too as if we're not aware how we're effing short enough people around mostly Karens say this a lot to us.

You'd be surprised how many 25+ year olds in asia have this kawaii teehee personality especially among the weeb community and those into the cute lolita fashion and other fashion subcultures that lean into cute things. I know cause I'm the eldest among siblings and people mistake me being the youngest in contrast to my younger brothers + they are much taller than me.

I also found it off putting, more than his height and childlike personality (I'm 4'11 and a baby just like him) I honestly think he's viewed as a real middle schooler.. A LOT.. also maybe there's too much emphasis on him being small but that's part of the whole plot so idrc but he genuinely looks like 9 years old in some panels, and everyone asking "is he legal" makes me tweak a little.

However they do seem like a really good couple, that's all! it's normal for people to feel uncomfy specially when the size difference is sooo much and the personality of the smaller one is rather childlike.

being a short person dating a tall person irl is much more different than a person purposely choosing to draw a romantic story about a couple where the person looks and acts like a 13 year old. same with people sexualising child like anime characters, they are made like that on purpose and its pretty obvious its not to represent short girls.

author just wanted people to buy his comic with cute character ,nothing wrong with that. the thing that i can't really accept is in other comics they draw the men exactly like a woman. that's more weird for me,woman face with male body. this one is more acceptable for me, because i am sure there are cute people like him.i watched on youtube gay couple ,the shorter one he is like a character from the yaoi ,his personalities and i was a bit shocked .this kind of people exist. he is adult although it's not the same like this one but when he with his husband they gave that cute vibes .like this comic

no not that ,i meant i was shocked because of their personalities the same like yaoi character .and their interaction ,the couple i saw on youtube almost the same like this comic ,the cute vibes . the other person i replied he didn't believe there is person like that so i only told him what i know.

that still doesn't mean that an adult person acting all cutesy like some 12 year old is normal lol. being a lovey dovey is a thing but some of these stories really portray adult men like some helpless child.
