When I was reading I was fuming because I thought that Lize would end up free, rich and married. But fortunately, in the extra chapters they divorce and Cliff marries another woman, one really nice, according to Edith (not that I think that Cliff deserves, but at least he suffered a little before happiness.).
Lize "hipnosis" is stronger in Cliff and he's only free of the effects after some time. Until them, Lize almost ends the family with her arrogance and exorbitant expendings.
In the final chapters, Lize is banished from the kingdom because she tried to deceive the royal family (basically she pretend to find the missing king's nephew, but Edith found the real one and she was exposed.)

There marriage goes in shambles because someone got arrogant and ppl know her true personality. Cliff couldn't divorce because the restrictions placed on him, but she tired to mess with Royal family, so yeah. Cliff was able to divorce her and marry someone who he loves truly and loves him truly.
tbh, i hate how lize still married to cliff at the end despite everything she does and how edith didn't even get to punish her for what happened to her.
i'm just happy that Killian become his lover truly and protect her for everything.
