If I remember the spoilers said that:

Even if Cliff did knew that Lize was the author the whole time Cliff still continued to love Lize until the end of the story after Killian and Edith moved out to Killian's new territory.

yeah but after that cliff got his karma too since lize never stopped being a bitch even edith warned her after everything

He doesn't know, it because the author place restrictions on him so he be with Lize even if he doesn't want subconsciously but atleast he gets a good ending. His personality (from what Killian remembers about his brother before Lize came) was fried due the author's interference.
