That's the sense I got as well. I saw some really disturbing comments about they hate the MC for leaving. Mist be some underage kids or something. So I went in search of the novel. And it's as you said, he just realized his feelings on that day and flew away (literally) to another country to mend his heart.
So I think it's good that Seojin/Max left to forget Han jei. The reason he hasn't even tried to confess his love in 15 years is because it's not easy to do. Firstly, it could ruin the friendship and secondly, they are both men, I think if you are the same gender it is even more nerve-wracking than it already is, and then there is the fact that he only really noticed that he loves Han Jei when he told him that he was getting married (at least that's how I understood it, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, English isn't my main language) so overall I think it's quite good so far, but with only two chapters it is It's hard to say whether the story stays good or gets worse at some point, so I'll continue reading to get a better idea of the storyline and its characters
