Oh no a human didn't want to get his brain blown out and was scared for his life and for the kids lives. Finny might be a super human but he isn't immortal like Sebastian, he will die if he gets fatally shot. The armed servants were coming their way fast, Finny panicked and ran away. It's a human instinct to run away from danger.
Snake is a lost cause so what would be the point of going back for him and risk his life too and fail the young master..
