I feel like If Ao had just let Asuka contact his mom and let her know what was up this probably wouldn't have happened. They talk so often about how powerful the tigers are. The least they could've done is applied enough pressure to get the leopards to leave.
Instead, everyone chose to walk around with their tails tucked thinking that if they just took the current abuse that it wouldn't escalate, not thinking that the literal leopards would sooner or later eat their faces.
I don't know. I just feel bad for Asuka 'cause all he wanted was to be with Ao and help his family, but now he's being blamed for something he could have prevented if Ao hadn't put him on a leash earlier on.
It's this weird phenomena where people immediately jump to defend the uke even if the uke is being unreasonable or dumb lol
Like, I get that right now he's mad 'cause what Asuka did resulted in the shop being trashed, but if Asuka hadn't fought back when he found Ao the three of them would be dead. The leopards would have used Asuka showing up as an excuse to retaliate against the rest of Ao's family and then they'd have no one to protect them. At least they are all alive and can just rebuild their shop again.
The next step should be Asuka contacting his mom, but I know I'm going to have to go through a chapter or two of Ao blaming Asuka for everything and Asuka questioning whether or not he should stay in Ao's life. The leopards are gonna show up again while this is all going on and something is gonna happen to either Ao or his family and then Ao is gonna realize that even if they act passively the gangsters are going to continue to torment them whether Asuka is there or not.

I wonder if Ao would've reacted the same way if it had been one of his sisters that got kidnapped and Asuka used violence to save them that resulted in the shop getting trashed.
If Asuka had shown up to save his baby sister and had gone the non-violence route, only to result in his sister being killed or worse, he would've blamed Asuka for not killing the bastards.
But since people want to blindly support ukes no matter how dumb they are being we've got people who legitimately think Ao and Asuka would have made it out alive without using violence, and that the end outcome wouldn't be worse than a shop that can be rebuilt when the leopards would retaliate lol
I kinda get where Ao is coming from, but I probably would've murdered the bastards if I came in on them gangraping someone I loved.
Not to mention if Ao hadn't been the one to walk out that would have been one of his baby sisters in his place instead. Would ya'll be still taking the "passive" route if it was one of the children and not Ao in that scenario??
And to those saying "Asuka should have minded his surroundings better"; these are gangsters they are dealing with lol they would've used any excuse to traffic civilians if it meant raking in a profit. Asuka just so happened to be the biggest convenient excuse on two legs. Ao even said that before Asuka reappeared they were having to deal with the leopards abusing them financially and physically. Families and businesses were already being forced/chased out, and those who couldn't afford to move were stuck there having to put up with it.
So yeah, Ao is naive to believe that it's all Asuka's fault.
Not to mention he was literally praying/calling for someone to save him as he was about to be raped. What did he think was gonna happen when someone showed up to do so?? They talk things out peacefully and the leopards let them leave??? Lol Asuka and Ao would've been murdered and then the same would have happened to Ao's family-- or worse.
The shop getting busted up is a better outcome than death and sex trafficked children lol
