Yeah, this always happens. I’m just trying to think, maybe because most of the characters in this stories are young. So the heart out weighs logic.
It could also be loneliness, to have company. Most Mc’s don’t have family. To have something that’s yours, people do have kids out of loneliness. It’s not a good reason but it does happen.
As much as a love omegaverse kids… it would be nice to see a story that doesn’t use a kid to bind people together.
An omegaverse about a mated pair who aborted the kid?!? Yet still come together?!? What a novel idea!!!
Or maybe no kids. It would be nice to see how a mated pair work things out without the kid. And when they are actually ready, and prepared have kids. It’s not the most interesting idea, but it would be nice to see a different spin.
I like the cute kids, but an MC on the run or struggling to provide. Followed by the sudden discovery of the ML and trying to insert himself back into the Mc life is sort of predictable. The kid glueing them together.
Well, as you say, the mated pair will always seek out their OTHER half, even WITHOUT the kid.
If the sole purpose is just to have kids.
Unless being apart is painful somehow.
But the writing would HAVE to be A LOT BETTER THAN THIS TO MAKE IT HAPPEN.
Whenever Omegas in Omegaverse got pregnant by their Love interest they never consider abortion. Even if Love interest treated them like absolute garbage they kind of stick to a glimmer of hope. Justification for this is pretty simple: My only family.
