Me too, I avoid sad endings so hard, but once in awhile no one in the comments knows the ending so I decide to take the chance and it turns out to be really sad and then I regret my whole life :(
I don't think you were tricked by this. We knew he was a ghost in the first chapter. Increasingly, it became clear that he wasn't just in a coma but dead. I think you continued to read because you were hooked and desperate for am happy ending, not tricked.

I love yaoi with a little sadness in the middle of the story but I hate sad endings. Athough, this is a great story with a beatiful art, the pain in my heart and my continuous sobbing makes me regret reading it. （/TДT)/
