I love those stories, too. They’re my favorite kind. The slow burn kind.
I also am happy with the story. It's not perfect but the plot is interesting and not too complicated nor convoluted. The main characters also have a very unique dynamic with each other that's very charming. It's a great light read and a bit of a breath of fresh air compared to how same-y the majority of stories nowadays can sometimes feel.
So true! It's a slowburn that's actually written quite well. Although they're right that Alves could be kinda annoying from time to time, I still find it cute and there's actually some meaning behind him teasing Nunnaly so much. Moreover, there's just something so endearing about their dynamic for some reason. It's just a fun read.
Also, I think some people these days seriously have misconceptions on enemies-to-lovers trope. This story isn't that lol. This is rivals-to-lovers. It's different and way more cuter.
As someone who loves the will-they-won't-they phase in romance fiction, this manga is exactly what I like in a story. A lot of people don't like it, and that's ok, that just means it's not for you. But stop complaining so much about fiction that wasn't made for you, you take up space that is meant for fans of the series to discuss it, and you bring down the experience for everyone. Thank you for giving the story a chance, and I'm sad that it wasn't for you, but please stop complaining about it so much.
