I’m dropping it because the personality of the mc is a doormat

Can you explain how? I still haven't continued it, last time I remember was that he went to disguise himself to solve something. All I know is he's humble, very calm.

I dropped it at ch 14, his character is just not attractive to me at this point. He takes all insults and every abusive thing thrown at him, he doesn’t fight nor does he plan to in fact he even thinks they do it for his own good. He already lived his life as an old man he should know their already since he retreated to a forest because he couldn’t handle the betrayals, yet why does he act like is 12 years old and has no clue about human malevolence?


It would be better if his character was kind yet unyielding and doesn’t take any crap thrown at him. Or yet don’t even give him the background of a wise man(because he sure isn’t) so there would be a very obvious reason why a pre teen is that innocent and we could see more growth this way.

Lol you should have waited more to drop it because his character is the opposite of what you've described. There's lots of character development too. You've read him totally wrong. His actions and thoughts make sense because he's amazingly pure of heart, that's why the spirit kings chose him as their contractor. And he's got the wisdom and patience of a whole lifetime, that's why he doesn't get angry at petty things or think about things like revenge.

Yeah no, when he tolerated the redhead character and the other classmates who bullied him, I feel bad for the og prince

When they’re treating the original mcs bullies like besties, I think it’s safe to say they don’t have a backbone. Cuz what you mean you punched me and I smiled at you. You insulted me and I praise you. You might be into that but I’m not.
