But his friends concerns are valid. What he said is true and he just stated that. Asian countries are more conservative than western and if a friend doesn't look out for you, who would? It's not like he said just break up! Or it won't work out! He genuinely said this is how it is there, would you be ok?
Also old people are also like that. I'm in my early twenties and my elders are already like this with me. That's how it is. They think they are doing it without any malicious intent.
