It honestly made my head spin how quickly Ao went from being cold and prejudice towards Asuka and other carnivores to being all "why did you leave me I was so looooonely without you."

I don't hate Ao. He frustrates me. His character development is whack and doesn't make a lick of sense lol you mean to tell me it only took a couple of days of Asuka being gone for him to go from blaming everything on him to suddenly thinking he's too kind to be yakuza and thanking him for protecting his family??
The whole situation would have been avoided if Ao had let Asuka go consult with the stand-in head of his yakuza group about what he could do from the beginning.
It just feels like the mangaka gave up halfway through the 3rd or 4th chapter and decided to wrap things up sooner because they lost motivation lol
YES that too. the jump in his attitude towards asuka was so sudden i think it's more like publishing limitations (them being told to wrap it up in one volume) rather than losing motivation tbh which is sad it happens a lot im sure

It just sucks 'cause I absolutely ADORE Asuka's design and personality. He was the reason why I even wanted to read this 'cause of the cover lol
actually at first it was ao that i really liked, he's so cute and i was willing to give up everything for him but this put me off it's really sad
The only character to face consequences was the one doing his best to protect the people he loves from a group of people who threatened to sex traffic Ao and his younger siblings.
"Violence is bad" then wtf would you do if the person you loved was in the middle of getting raped or if you heard someone talk about sex trafficking your baby sister?? Getting their teeth knocked in and a few broken bones would be the least of that offender's worries if it were me.
And to bring it back to the first point; Ao treated Asuka like garbage for what happened. He blamed the person trying to protect them instead of blaming the people who had been actively harming their town since before Asuka returned. Ya'll are so quick to jump to the uke's defense when he literally did a complete 180 from condemning and blaming Asuka to the point he left to being all "you're too kind to be a yakuza leader" and "I was so wonewy when you were gone" WHEN HE CHASED ASUKA OFF IN THE FIRST PLACE LOL
You can at least pull your head out of your hamster hole long enough to see why people are upset with the uke and the overall outcome of the series lol like, Asuka was the only one being blamed for everything. THERE WASN'T A SINGLE MENTION AS TO WHY THOSE MEMBERS WERE BEATEN IN THE FIRST PLACE LOL they just treated everything the leopards did as a "warning" when they were 100% about to kidnap and rape a child if it hadn't been Ao they accidentally nabbed.
