Yall I think instead of blaming the characters like horus and jesus guy we need to start blaming the author cuz it seems like rape is just her fetish or something cuz every character "romantically" involved with seth ends up raping him somehow or sexually harassing him, even those who arent even "romantically" involved do that too like the slave traders and the caravans. Seth basically exists to be raped at this point. I get the author is trying to punish him but only by making him get repeatedly raped by everyone around him? Like are there no other ways for atonement?

Also I still wanna know what happened to that little kid who seth saved from the slave traders plz give us an update

Horus’s situation I kinda understand but the one with foreign god was long and more showy(?) graphic. Both are rape except Horus was used and Foreign god did it willingly, Author def has some sort of fetish for this. I’m not surprised

(btw not excusing the aufhor in anyways shes honestly unexcusable for her actions and its so weird and disgusting for her to constantly put these rape scenes)

lowkey i feel like a part of the reason that she puts rape so often is kind of because manwhas tend to romanticize it a ton. Like especially for BL, for some reasons authors like to put a rape scene and play it off as a sex scene because “oh look theh were enjoying it” or some bs. I feel like that was basically what she tried to do for the foreign god + seths scene (which was so eugh) because even through the scene she tried to justify it with an implied “well it was to heal him from the aphrodisiac”. Obviously thats not an excuse and tbh seth didnt look like he was enjoying it at all — also the whole ripping the earring oit really made it very rapey fetishy vibes.

i also agree that none of the male characters who have had relations with seth have been without sexual assault. We’ve all been quick go excuse Horus because he’s slightly better but he also assaulted seth and im pretty sure theres been multiple times where he’s forced himself onto him either way (even if he didnt rape him).

Same goes for Set who assaulted Horus and attempt rape willingly. I feel like a lot of readers forget this and act like Set is without sexual assault faults. But other than that, I agree with everything else you said. Well said!

There’s no one perfect. Impossible. Not even gods are. This story is complex.

well the author is trying to stick to the theme of Egyptian mythology and ik that like a shit ton of gods and greek ones rape because it was normalized then bc they see themselves as higher ppl so they don’t put rules for themselves
