wait i don’t think that’s correct bc in the very first chapter we know that hyo un is looking for his reincarnated mate and that the characters are living in the 21st century. in the beginning of the second season, they are not in the 21st century and we see hyo un be born from the water. so it is a backstory about the very first time hyo un met taehyuk and how he made him his mate before taehyuk got reincarnated in the 21st century. unless i’m missing something i hope that makes sense
