I honestly think it's less of him not getting over his ex and more of he doesn't want his ex seeing his current relationship not working well. Kinda like when you come to a highschool reunion and showing people you're doing well type of thing.
But that doesn't mean I trust this mess of a man either. Who knows what he'll do for appearance sake or for a little thrill or even to get back at his current boyfriend because he feels unappreciated. Anyways, I don't trust him. He's interesting, but I'm wary of him.
