yep, which is why i like alpha x beta actually. i like the clarity and lack of influence from pheromones, and characters usually have to address gender bias or social expectations to get together. it's like walking into love rather than falling in love
I do too but to be honest, my favorite are alpha x omega where they actually fight their urges. Or they have a different mate but they stay together even though they are not mates. There are actually some like that. I think it proves how powerful love can be. But that's just MY personal preference.

Yup.. which is why I dont like alpha x beta.. then they should just make it as a regular BL webtoon.. not as an omegaverse if there is no omega in it lol.
In the omegaverse.. alpha could easily end up cheating and doing the deed with one of omegas since he is not marked or controlled by pheromones of an omega he is bond with. So no stability is guaranteed.
that's the appeal of alpha/beta tho. it'd add more conflict to the story and ask the question of whether love can conquer fate/biology, and those themes wouldn't be present if it's just normal bl and not omegaverse. if you think omegas are integral to omegaverse, then you should like omega x omega right? that pairing experiences the same issues and has similar appeal to alpha/beta and alpha/alpha.
Not to rain on the happy parade, but the reason why the seme was able to control himself so well is because the uke is not an omega and doesn't have pheromones. The whole point of omega-alpha and pheromones is for them to attract each other and sate the urge to mate and procreate. I mean, I personally think that they are humans and should be able to control themselves but hey, at the end of the day omegaverse is not just fiction but science fiction too so we will never know how intense and consuming their urges could be if they were real. It's easy for people to say "I would do this", or "I would never do that" but until we are in that situation we don't really know what we would or wouldn't do. We are just flawed human being, after all.
