I personally don't give a f about rape in manga, cuz it's fiction and porn usually is very violent anyway. Don't personally like it, but I can't care less about it's existence. But I understand the backlash, I feel like it's less about the rape and more about the fact that it appeared out of think air...
Also, the story was soft as hell (up untill that point), so you need to take into account that may also attract relatively-soft people as well. Those types of people obviously have weaker stomach for rape and such

i agree with you but at the same time i think it's more that readers (or at least i) became attached to the characters because of how well their personalities and background was designed, not to mention how relatively "soft" and slice of life it's been till now. it was kept tastefully realistic! and then BOOM your run of the mill noncon scene. it's disappointing lol it's like a virus you can't escape in BL
im pretty sure many folks including me read psychological books with a lot of noncon in it but in some stories those scenes have NO business being there. i loved this story enough to hope it won't be one of the stories w noncon and jinxed myself it seems
yeaaahh... Like idk how to explain it exactly, but on some bl plots the rape at least helps with a character arc or have some value to the plot at the very least. Whereas this one is like... why's it even there?
I don't get the backlash tbh. I mean this was definitely dubcon I'm not going to deny that, but isn't it like most of the x scenes that usually are seen in bls? In most of the stories it just the top doing that. Can't even count the no. of times I've seen a "green flag","ideal bf" "consent king" "puppy" seme doing whatever they want while the bottom is screaming "wait" and "no" and they just continue on doing the deed saying shit like "ik you like this" and "stop?but you aren't letting me go". For eg even in this manhwa the scene where seo an is not liking woo won eating his ass and says no but the top continues either way. This occurs so much I'm desensitized to it and I've never seen any kind of backlash about those acts in the comment section so I just came to think that people here don't really care about it and it's just a fictional kind of thing.
