I'm also a bit confused. But after thinking about it, maybe minjae is (understandably) bitter about the fact that his older brother knew about his abuse and decided to do nothing about it.
The whole "just forget about it" is what mostly jumps out to me. I see it as the older brother saying "I suffered through this in silence so you have to as well". This attitude of not rocking the boat was probably prevalent in minjae's childhood since he seems to be the scapegoated child between his brothers
I suspect there are also more layers to it like the face that the 1st and 2nd brother were always closer to each other than to minjae, and so there's extra salt to the wound when the only time the 1st brother shows interest in minjae is to basically tell him to keep quiet about his abuse.
That's just my interpretation though, I could be wrong. I read the raws and there's like many more layers to the 1st bro/2nd bro/minjae dynamic that also comes into play so yeah we'll prob get a much better picture once more stuff is revealed
What I didn't understand is about the brother's hug... I mean why is it not genuine... did the brother hug him for himself thinking he was just like the brother or a "serves you right?" Kind of hug idk I lack eq
