If Edmund is the son of the Crown Prince that ML killed... Doesn't that make him the actual first in line for the throne, before even ML himself?

I think it puts his life in danger as the ML killed his brother in order to be on the throne. Kid only survived because the mother lied about his lineage.

He was never crowned so I think it's just right that ML is next in line for the throne.

That is not how it works, crowning has nothing to do with succession rules. The birthright line is a line for the crowning itself. This is a huge plot hole, that they're expecting us not to notice bc otherwise that'd mean the Sios are doing the right thing.

Yes, but to be the rightful heir, he'd have to kill Edmund first or have him abdicate. This plot hole means that, in a way, the Sios are right. For Edmund to be behind him in line, he'd have to be the son of ML's younger brother, or of ML's father himself.

Idk anything about succession, only from reading manga/novels. I thought that's how it works. Thanks for the info ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶
