He loses his gift because only the Martial God was known to have Martial Soul. It's considered OP among constellations. That's why he's wary of Jihan. No worries tho. He gets to have a different constellation who's one of the many constellations against the Martial God. Secrets about the League unfolds and hints are unraveled about who exactly the Martial God was and how much of a potential threat Jihan is to the Martial God.

Does he still become super strong and even more op?

Yup. Coz now he starts to branch out a bit from the martial arts breakthrough of the Martial God. Jihan is basically making the martial soul technique his own. His growth is still exponential but he's practically barely equal to the other races so he still has room to grow. But, rest assured. He's becoming OP in his own way.

He's practically immune to mind control. There's an issue with the Sword King that comes every now and then but their official confrontation gets the ball rolling in regards to the Japanese team and is quick to wrap up. That would still take a bit of time tho.

Jihan. Baron's too arrogant and too prideful for real training. They do have the same skill but, technique wise, Jihan has him beat easy. Which is a shame. Baron is a powerhouse of a mage but he barely even scratched the surface of that absolute domain skill.
