There have been lots of hints to his real personality and what happened in 44 is not OOC. I suspected that but she gave us a lot more.
Do you understand being in love? Dan does make sense being in love. They both do you read the story properly. Both characters have depth. She put a lot of time into building them.
We know more about him than that.
I think he won't remember, him being nice and doing the bare minimum while SOBER or CONSCIOUSLY it's too out of character! Even if he's drunk, I still feel like it's incongruous with his (lack) of character development so far! It doesn't make sense for any of them to be in love, especially Dan
On another note, considering that Jaekyung is a main character, I think he lacks a lot of depth, we still don't know anything about him other than he's an asshole
