The MC is a victim of his own success. I get what the writer/director is talking about. A family drama is one thing but a story truly tilts when there's grief involved. And, judging from the lines, the middle kid sounds like a cornerstone for the family. His death could either make or brake the whole thing. Very bold. I respect you, ma'am.

    The middle in these scenarios you're right is the crux and are usually the one with most emotional intelligence so they are usually the most passionate and the most adaptive so taking out a promising individual would be so to speak the most jarring choice.

    So basically......THE MIDDLE CHILD IS ALWAYS FUCKING BULLIED THE MOST GRRRAAAAAHHH!!!
