It's Reynold's eyes, I think. He realized what he had done / was confused about something. I'm guessing he was being controlled or something, since his behavior had been getting better recently and it'd be out of character to randomly be hostile again

She has indeed mind control power. It works especially well on those who have a very weak or unstable (unsafe) feelings for FL.
