yaoi has affected us so much that killing is more surprising to us than sexual assault

damn to each their own. to me a rapist or SA is worse than a killer, can’t think of the traumatic event if u dead

jokes aside i think the opposite, the violence and harm of sa is more scarring to me than death ever will be. not bashing you at all btw, wanted to tell you my stance on it

Understandable! I think in general we have an instinct to survive and want to accomplish so much in life and as traumatic as it is, you can still go on to lead a fulfilling life (and I've met many people who have), the same way a person can after abuse and other very scarring traumas, though you'd need more time and patience than most people. If your life ends there, so does every opportunity to make ammends, fulfil your dreams, speak to your loved ones, meet the love of your life, etc. And if it IS too much to bear then death is still an option, but at least it will be your own ya know?

oh yea for sure! life should continue and improve for people who’ve gone through traumatic events. i admire those who fight to live despite their pain, as well as those who committed in hope for a better future. life isn’t defined by the rape or SA a person experienced, but if given the choice i know id rather be killed than to experience SA again. to live despite it happening requires a romantic and hopeful view on the world and i do wish all victims this innocence at least
