Lol ya I think for the time period and the fact that its a martial arts manhua they are trying to be subtle, also I feel like they are trying to show that Gun's feelings are more advanced/serious than Haewon's by having him say it explicitly. Just my opinion tho. I prefer this way, "I love you" is cool but the "I don't want to be apart from you" is so pure (to me) *-*
