I meant like they where there, I'm talking about what army they might be if we follow history, and in this story there is a Japanese army that fights with the protagonist army. Of course I know this is fiction so it might also not base on anything.

I have a feeling this is an AU where the countries are made up. I mean, the Japanese army weren't even exactly Japanese in this universe. They were called the Yamato country...
Unless that's actual history... I don't know much about Japanese history.
