Well platonic is at best shonen ai. But even a kiss is more like fan service.

And like I said, I'm not complaining. It's really good! Yaoi tag, so far, is out of place.

A kiss wouldnt necessarily be fan service, it would straight up make it shounen ai. All I'm saying is that there's so many implicated jokes throughout the story that it's very much alluding to that type of situation without actually being it. In Free!! there was never any shounen ai stuff either but the fan service was clear. Aside from them being half naked a lot, many sports anime do make some relationships akin to "bromance" for the extra attention they know it will get for it.

I read the raws in a Japanese site and this is indeed on the BL category. But I think this could be on the Shounen Ai category.

Funny it has a 2star rating in the site. Reading the comments, they are bummed because there are no BL scenes

I mean as long as the confession comes at some point even if it's in 20 years I'll say it was worth it . Tbf Yamadera has a lomg ass way to go to actually develop as a character if it is to get to such a point in the story later. I like how in that regard it's very well paced.
