Killian is also good

They took the brainwashed route. The creator of the og story is actually controlling reeve (The og fl) and all the major characters. Side characters/less important characters can easily avoid the authors control. Killian (ml) got close to the fl and noticed all the inaccuracies of what he thought of her and started treating her as such;with kindness and standing up for her. He broke out of the creators hold and the fl knows that Killian (ml) was being manipulated. Reeze (og fl) is actually evil giving that she's basically a manifestation of the creator and ml brother shows no signs of character (like no personality at all)

She has not outwardly forgiven him, i think she is just taking the peace while she can. If you want a partially detailed spew to catch you up I wouldnt mind giving it to you. (▰˘◡˘▰) just LK

Ch. 20 is the sexy time i think, its the 1st requirement to break the authors control of Killian.
He invites her multiple times to spend time together she denies each time (like 10x) and the meets the next requirements. She does this unknowingly both times as she isnt being told the requirements. While these invites happen events happen between. Killian goes to look at the territory his dad will give him to look over himself. They have a moment.

Edith and Lize are selling the embroidery stuff competition the nobles do (think that was mentioned before ch.20) she defends Lize. Lize brother approaches her abt the spy stuff and she dismisses him. Killian kinda looks for her and she says some heartfelt shit.

Killian buys all of Edith embroidery bc it wasnt popular and his mom told him Edith used colors that reminded her of him. Itd shame family name if nothing sold thats how he reasons w/buying em.
Her dads maid (Ill call her S) and Lizes(Reese? They used both names) brother make a big scene and insist on 'serving' her out of worry but she is just there to set her straight via abuse and keep an eye on her for a few weeks(beats, starves, belittles).

The maid poisons Edith claiming Lize send the food. Cliff says Edith was just poisoning herself for attention.
Killian ask the dr for some pain meds for edith since she seemed like she was in pain nd thats how he found she was starving but outside ppl say its probs just diet fad.
Killian sits with her mulling over thoughts and mumbles asking why would she poison herself and Edith hears. She tells him to leave.
Rize "sticks up" for her and so she sends a thank u gift. The maid poisoned it and now they think Edith poisons Lize but they dont have proof.
Killains the first to accuse her so she ask for more surveillance to prove it (Ana, its how she avoids some of the abuse too).

Edith n him sit down and talk, she makes a point to accuse his family and him of something to prove the unpleasantness of always being accused of things. They get comfortable with talk, then get all smoochy. Heart to heart convo ig.

Killain advocated (shallowly kinda) for Edith and convinces his family that they shouldnt just blame Edith and should actually do a proper investigation and get proof.

Cliff visits the princess and basically insinuates Edith tried to poison Lize.
Edith and Killians dad go to the palace. Edith meets the princess (obs excited to meet a strong woman that the book describes) ofc is disappointed bc the pincess just snakely hint abt edith being a shit person and shes surround by rumors and accuse her. Edith states her innocence, her admiration for the princess, and says she trust the princess is a decent enough person to not judge based off rumors.
When she is alone S attacks, kind chokes her out now she has a bruise.

She goes to work with Linon after, he compliments her so she kinda cries bc she has only been insulted since she got there. Linon offers basic comfort she thanks him
Killians an eavesdropper once again.
Killain goes out of (unspoken) jealousy and kinda tries to seduce her at night. He sees the bruises then. He stops and lets her sleep (I think he ordered Ana to apply ointment on the bruises or he did personally while she sleeps.)

Kill brings in S to Edith starts questioning and eventually puts 2and2 together. Ana starts showing more emotion (like Linon, where before they were super NPCish) and expresses her worry.

We get a glimpse of Author and the manipulation.
Killian sends S away bc they didnt have any solid evidence but didnt want S to stay there.
Killain starts thinking over why Edith stayed silent, he is a good boy and comes to the correct conclusions why she wouldnt trust them.

The invitations from Killain resumes! Shes racking up killains rejection rate. And even expresses that she is fine if he just goes with Lize. He gets frustrated and then jealous abt her vloseness w/Linon and she settles him down and they kinda? Do the hanky panky. IG them doing the deed is like what happens when the requirements are met to break the mind control. We see the authors frustration again, in their subspace.

We see some of Killain Back story and get a date day, which brings up a bit more of Ediths morals and Backgrounds as well. (Both edith now and ogEdith)
We get a scene between Lize and Killain and its basically to show author slowly losing control of Kill's thoughts.
Our couples spend tea time together. Some sus scenes of Lize and cliff.
Some date time between Edith and Ana
Light Ana Backstory and partial pov.
Killain confronts (I use that gently) Edith abt her selling her jewelry. This is when he notice some of the neglect she faces.
Cliff and Edith go to the palace. Killain an Lize go shopping. (this is caused by Cliffs and Lize sus beh. Earlier)

Cliff insults Edith on the way and also tells her (lies?manipulates?) abt Killain liking Yatching.
Edith is there to recieve horse riding from the princess at Killains request bc theyre new territory requires it.

Flash back to killain makes the request and snapping at the princess for being rude and requesting her the same thing Edith did (dont trust rumors). The princess apologizes for jumping to conclusions.

Killain and Lize shopping, sus Lize behavior, slight break in mind control. He cant stop thinking abt things Edith might like.

Killains is giving edith all the gifts he bought. Cliff is eavesdropping (i think it runs in the family). We get more Lize and Cliff sus shit.

Yatch date time.
Oh no! somethings not right with the boat. Oh no! Edith fell off. (i actually appreciate the way they bring up the dangers of those old dresses in water.)
Killain saves her. Poor Yatch man is under investigation.

While edith was under she kinda enters the area where the auther is (Subspace?) this is how she finds out abt the requirements.

Edith Conveniences Killain that Yatch man is probs innocence bc it didnt add up. He complies and releases him, he apologized to the worker. This builds Ediths repore with the employees (noncontrolled npcs in story ooo).

Yatch man thanks edith for her advocate.
Yatch man brings up who last was near the boat besides him (Lize and Cliff). Killain actually considers them and so he doesnt trust his family atm.

Ofc high society hear abt the event. Rumors rumors rumors, maybe they wanted her dead yada yada. Someone however brings up Killain jumping in to save her.

Lize sister? Gets sus. After hearing all this.

Theyre go looking at designs for upcoming ball. They decide to match. After they go out and over hear rude rumors and Edith goes off on them. Killain is happy and finds it funny (she goes kinda villainess mode threatening then and overflowing the tea in their cups).

Now youre caught up.
She never directly forgives him, in fact she makes it appoint to avoid relying on him. She still assumes they view her similarly like in chapts before 20.
