I guess it was like a selective memory loss for Haru. I think his memories was reverted back to being the 17 year old Haru. He doesn't know or met Ren yet. Maybe he doesn't even know his parents died. Funny thing is (and I don't mean in a laughable way) every time Haru looses his memories it always have to do with Ren. And when Ren kisses Haru in the last few pages, I guess its Ren's way of helping Haru remember their relationship. And what excites me is what will Haru do now that all he can remember is he is 17 years old which is not far apart from Ren's actual age at present? Will Haru finally take Ren or will he somehow regain some of his loss memories? Well, if I'm wrong I apologize. I'm just stating my own interpretation anyway.

Abe Miyuki not at all original.
haru now believed to be 17 years

But let's not be so pessimistic about it and try to see more of the positive sides of the story. You may not know, the best is yet to come. So let us patiently wait for the translated version of Chapter 30 and the more upcoming chapters. Though I know the updates are really slow but let's be optimistic. Abe Miyuki-sensei must be doing their best for their readers right. So I believe a turnaround in the situation will happen.

Seriously? The memory loss might be a necessary part of the story's progression. It seems more that way than just a redundancy like you and anonymous immediately proclaim it to be, as if you know the author's mind better than anyone else. The way you two were reacting to the storyline is certainly cliched, however.
Spoiler to Chapter 30: I have NO idea what they are saying, but please tell me I interpret the raw wrong and Haru does NOT believe he is just 17!? I would hate that so much, when I saw he is already and saw a pic where he and Ren are kissing I was sooo relieved, since, well, he is ok and since he apparently doesn't have amnesia. But guess that's only half true :( -.- Now! Tell me I am wrong!
